The Power of Play in the Workplace

Does your team feel collaborative? Is work a place where you feel heard and considered, where it's safe to make mistakes, and where you feel happy in addition to being productive?

The ability to play is an important developmental milestone, and is hugely beneficial in the workplace. Play promotes creativity, facilitates team bonding, improves cognitive ability, decreases interpersonal tensions, and even increases lifespan. But what does it actually mean to play? And how does one integrate play at work?

This elective will be mostly experiential - you'll be led through both intellectual and physical games, all of which can be brought to work. The psychology of play and its importance in work, life, and relationships will be woven throughout.

You'll leave smiling, and with a packet of games that you can play with your team.

This class is open to alums of General Management.
