Positioning & the Black Box

There are two things you can do that meaningfully improve your chance of success taking a new product to market or building a business. First, you can clearly state the positioning of your product with a simple fill-in-the-blank format. You'll make better decisions, and communicate much more clearly within your team if you do this simple exercise. Second, you can follow Andy Grove's lead and draw a Black Box Cartoon of the inputs, process, and outputs of your business. Doing these two things is basic hygiene of capitalism.
